Adjustment of Proximity Switch

Adjust the proximity switch after removing or
replacing it.

Warning

When making adjustments to the proximity
switch, do not enter the space below the
mower units.

Important

The LED illumination condition when reacting
to a proximity switch and the method for
checking the buzzer output differ depending
on the position being adjusted.

Important

Adjustments cannot be made if the relay or
buzzer associated with the proximity switch is
damaged.
If the relay or buzzer is damaged, repair it
before adjusting the proximity switch.

Adjustment of Proximity Switch /#1 Mower

The proximity switch /#1 mower detects the
position of the #1 mower unit lift arm.
This signal operates in coordination with
proximity switches /#4 & #5 mower to control
the rotation start position of the #1, #4 and
#5 reel cutters.
Follow the steps below to make adjustments.

Important

Be sure to check that the following have been
adjusted before adjusting the proximity
switch /#1 mower.

Adjustment of #1 mower stopper

Reference:
"Adjustment of Mower Stopper" (Page 6-14)

Important

Adjust the proximity switch /#1 mower so that
the point at which the proximity switch begins
reacting is the specified distance.

Apply the parking brake, and then stop the
engine.
Adjust the plastic magnet attached to the
#1 lift arm so that its bottom surface is
parallel with the tip of the attachment as
shown in the figure.
