STEERING DIRECCION
Inspect at initially 1.000 km (or 4 months)
and every 4.000 km (or 8 months).
Bearings are applied on the steering system for
better handling. Steering should be adjusted
properly for smooth turning of handlebars and
safe running. Too stiff steering prevents smooth
turning of handlebars and too loose steering will
cause poor stability.
Check that there is no play in the front fork
assembly by grasping the lower fork tubes near
the axle and pulling forward when the machine is
supported with the front wheel off the ground and
positioned straight ahead. If play is found, perform
steering bearing adjustment.
If it were necessary to adjust free play, loosen nut
0 1 0 and turn the ring nut 0 2 0 with the special key.
Once the operation has been completed, and after
tightening nut
0 1 0 , recheck the free play.
Steering head nut tightening torque:
60 - 100 Nm (6,0 - 10,0 kgm)
WARNING:
After adjusting steering free play, check that
handlebar rotation is smooth to avoid damaging
the bearings and making the cycle uncontrollable.
FRONT FORK
Inspect every 12.000 km (or 24 months).
Inspect the front forks for oil leakage, scoring and
scratches on the outer surface of the inner tubes.
Replace any defective parts, if necessary.
REAR SUSPENSION
Inspect every 12.000 km (or 24 months).
Inspect the rear shock absorber for oil leakage and
check that there is no play in the swingarm assem-
bly.

PERIODICO Y DE PUESTA A PUNTO
Para obtener una buena adherencia en carretera,
la dirección está equipada con rodamientos.
Para una rotación fácil del manillar y para una con-
ducción segura, la dirección debe estar regulada
de manera correcta. Una dirección demasiado du-
ra impide una rotación fácil del manillar, mientras
una dirección demasiado libre implica una estabi-
lidad muy escasa.
Con el motociclo apoyado de manera que la rueda
delantera quede levantada del suelo y derecha ha-
cia adelante, verificar que no haya juego en el
conjunto horquilla, cogiendo los vástagos en su
parte inferior, cerca del perno de la rueda, estiran-
do hacia adelante. Si hay juego, hay que regular
los rodamientos de la dirección.
Si se tuviese que regular el juego, aflojar la tuerca
0 1 0 y enroscar el casquillo con la llave apropiada.
Al final de la operación, después de haber apreta-
do la tuerca
0 1 0 , volver a controlar el juego.
Par de apriete de la tuerca de la pipa de la dirección:
60 - 100 Nm (6,0 - 10,0 kgm)
ATENCION:
Después de haber regulado el juego de la direc-
ción, cercionarse de que la rotación del manillar se
a suelta, para evitar el daño de los cojinetes y que
la motocicleta no se pueda controlar bien.
HORQUILLA
Controlar cada 12.000 kms ( o 24 meses).
Verificar que la horquilla no tenga pérdidas de
aceite y que la superficie exterior de las barras no
presente rascaduras o ranuras. En este caso sub-
stituir las partes dañadas.
SUSPENSION TRASERA
Controlar cada 12.000 kms (o 24 meses)
Verificar que el amortiguador no tenga pérdidas
de aceite y controlar que el conjunto de los brazos
oscilantes no tenga juego.
Controlar después de los primeros 1.000
kms (o 4 meses) y sucesivamente cada
4.000 kms (o 8 meses)
