Use of the machine

Work commencement

DANGER

•

Direct everyone out of the danger area of the machine, in
particular from the swivel zone of the machine extension
arms and the track marker.

•

Actuate the tractor's control units only in the tractor cab.

1. Extend the machine extension arms.

When lowering, pull the machine forward slightly.

2. Bring the blower fan to the nominal speed, depending on the

equipment

Operate control unit

red

Switch on the tractor's universal joint shaft and bring the

blower fan to the nominal speed.

3. Check the blower fan speed and correct it as necessary.

Information to be observed when working with the hydraulic
pump that is driven by the universal joint shaft.

•

Before switching on the universal joint shaft, observe the safety

instructions that are relevant for operating the universal joint

shaft.

•

Observe the permissible drive speed of the tractor's universal

joint shaft.

•

In tractors equipped with a hydraulically or pneumatically switch-

able universal joint shaft, the universal joint shaft must only be

switched on when the engine is idling in order to prevent dam-

age to the hydraulic pump.

4. Actuate control unit

until the machine is lowered or, in

other words, until the integrated running gear is completely re-

tracted.

In addition to lowering the machine, actuating control unit

yellow

also

affects the following hydraulic functions:

•

Folding out the active (i.e. the one shown on the display) track

marker (see the AMATRON 3 operating manual)

•

Lowering the coulter frame

(only with the machine setting "Turning on the roller")

•

Lowering the disc array

(only with the machine setting "Turning on the roller")

•

Closing the seed line tubes in the distributor head if the tramline
