Functional Description
2
External Clock Output «For procedures, see section 13.2»
Outputs the clock signal externally. When using the internal clock, a clock signal of a
frequency (clock frequency) specified on the VB8300 is output from the CLOCK OUT
terminal on the rear panel. When using an external clock, the external clock signal is
output.
10-MHz Reference Signal Output «For procedures, see section 13.3»
Outputs the 10-MHz reference signal externally. When using the internal 10-MHz
reference signal, the signal is output from the 10 MHz REF OUT terminal on the rear
panel. When using an external 10-MHz reference signal, the external reference signal is
output.
Event Output «For procedures, see section 13.4»
Outputs event data from the EVENT OUT terminal on the rear panel. Event data is 1-bit
data synchronized to the waveform data. The data is created when waveform data is
created.
Analog Summing Output (Option) «For procedures, see section 13.8»
The analog signals of each output terminal set (OUT) can be summed, and the summed
signal can be output from the ANALOG SUM OUT terminal. You can arbitrarily select
the signals to be summed from the output terminal sets (OUT) and the external signal
input terminal (ANALOG SUM EXT IN). The amplitude of the signal that is output from
the ANALOG SUM OUT terminal depends on the amplitude of each signal that is added.
The gain is 0 dB. The voltage offset that is assigned to each signal that is added is valid.
Registering and Running Software Applications «For procedures, see section 12.8»
You can register other functions in addition to the functions that come standard on the
VB8300 as software applications. An example of such applications is the waveform data
generation function. In addition, by selecting a registered software application in
advance, you can press the APPLI key to display a menu and operate the software
application. By default, the File Conversion Utility Software is registered. For a
description of the functionalities of the File Conversion Utility Software, see the
User's
Manual IM703155-61E
.
Command Communication (Ethernet/Serial) «For procedures, see the Communication
Interface User’s Manual IM703155-17E»
An Ethernet port and serial (RS-232) port are equipped as standard. Using
communication commands, you can retrieve waveform data from the PC to the VB8300
or control the VB8300 using a PC.
