12.3 Initializing the Settings
Procedure
To exit the menu during operation, press
ESC
located above
the soft keys.
In the procedural explanation below, the phrase “
rotary knob
& SELECT
” and “
numeric keys & ENTER
” may be used.
These phrases indicate procedures for selecting/setting items
and entering values, character strings, and units. For details
on the procedure, see section 3.7 or 3.8.

Note
Check that it is okay to initialize the settings to their factory default before actually initializing
the settings. You cannot set the settings back after initialization. It is recommended that the
settings be saved (see section 10.2) before executing initialization.
Executing Initialization
Press
SHIFT + PRESET (INITIALIZE)
. Initialization is executed.
Explanation
The items specified using keys can be reset to the factory default settings. This is useful
when you wish to clear previous settings or start the settings from scratch.For a
description of the factory default settings, see appendix 1.
Items That Cannot Be Initialized
The following items are not initialized. The current settings are retained.
Settings on the menu that appears when the MISC or FILE key is pressed.
