Sequence Trigger Signal
For each output terminal set (OUT), there are two signals used to output the sequence
trigger signal: the trigger source and the sampling clock source. When a trigger source
signal pulse is input to the trigger bus (internal bus on the VB8300), a sequence trigger
signal is output from the trigger source to the output terminal set (OUT) (TRIGGER
DESTINATION) that is set to trigger wait in sync with the signal pulse of the sampling clock
source. You can select one signal each for the trigger source and sampling clock source
from the output terminal sets (OUT) and external signal. However, you cannot select the
sampling clock source if the trigger source is not selected. For both the trigger source and
sampling clock source, the rising edge of the signal pulse is detected as a trigger.
• Trigger Signal Output Timing
The timing in which the sequence trigger signal is output from the trigger bus varies
depending on whether the sampling clock source is selected.
If only the trigger source is selected, the sequence trigger signal is output from the
trigger bus when the trigger source signal pulse is input to the trigger bus.
If both the trigger source and the sampling clock source are selected, the sequence
trigger signal is output from the trigger bus in sync with the sampling clock source
when the trigger source signal pulse is input to the trigger bus.

• Outputting the Trigger Source and Sampling Clock Source Externally
The external trigger source output (SEQ TRIG TRIG OUT) terminal on the rear panel
outputs the selected trigger source signal. The external sampling clock output (SEQ
TRIG SMPLG OUT) terminal outputs the selected sampling clock source signal. By
connecting these signals to another VB8300, waveform generation from multiple
VB8300s can be linked.
Delay between the Sequence Trigger Signal and the Switching of the Output
Waveform (Element)
There is a delay between the time the sequence trigger signal is output and the time the
output waveform switches.
