Front Panel, Rear Panel, and Top Panel
Front Panel
Rotary knob
Used to set values, move the marker, and select items in setup operations.
RESET key
Resets the value entered using the rotary knob to default.
SELECT key
Enters (Confirms) the item or value set using the rotary knob.
< > Key
Used to move between digits when entering a value using the rotary knob and when
changing a value or moving the marker.
Standby power switch
(Section 3.4)
Compact Flash card (CF card) slot
Used when saving data to a CF card.

ESC key
Used to clear a setup menu and
dialog box.
Soft keys
Used to select items on
the setup menu that
appears on the screen.
Waveform output terminals
Terminals where waveform output cables are connected. The
terminal configuration varies depending on the model. (Section 3.5)
Setup menu display/Execution key
Keys that are pressed first when entering a setting or
executing an operation. Displays various setup menus. For
execution keys, the operation of the pressed key is executed.

Numerical keys
Used to enter a value, unit, or character string. (Section 3.8)
SHIFT key
The keys enter the shifted state when you press the SHIFT
key and illuminate the green indicator located above the
SHIFT key. The setup menu marked in purple above the
panel keys can be selected. In addition, the purple characters
above the numeric keys can be selected.
Rear Panel
Serial (RS-232) connector
Used when communicating via the serial interface. For a

Ethernet port
(Section 11.1)
IO digital output connector (option)
Connect a dedicated cable provided when outputting
waveforms as digital signals. (Section 13.5)
Event output terminal

Video signal output connector

USB port
Used when connecting a USB printer or USB memory.

Sequence trigger external trigger source
input/output terminal (option)
External sampling clock input/output terminal (option)
Used to input an external trigger source or sampling clock of the
sequence trigger or output the signals. (Sections 7.2 and 13.7)
