Selecting the Source

In the Rename area in the Copy File dialog box, turn the
rotary knob
to select
the file or directory to be renamed. The name of the selected file or directory
appears in the entry box in the Source area.

Press
SELECT
to confirm. The cursor moves to the entry box in the Source
area.
To cancel the operation, press
RESET
. When cancelled, the cursor moves to the file
list display area in the Source area.

After confirming the selection in step 3 and 4, press
SELECT
again. The cursor
moves to the Destination area.
Setting the New Name
• When Selecting a Directory or File to Be Used as a Base for the New Name

In the Rename area in the Destination File dialog box, turn the
rotary knob
to
select the file or directory to be used as a base for the new name. The name of
the selected file or directory appears in the entry box in the Destination area.

Press
SELECT
to confirm. The cursor moves to the entry box in the Destination
area.
To cancel the operation, press
RESET
. When cancelled, the cursor moves to the file
list display area in the Destination area.

After confirming the selection in step 6 and 7, use
numeric keys & ENTER
to
enter the file or directory name.

Press
SELECT
. The renaming of the file or directory is executed.

Selection display
Displays the selected directory name.
In the case of the top directory of the
internal hard disk, a slash (/) is
displayed. In the case of the CF card,
/compact is displayed. In the case of
the USB memory, /usbmem is
displayed.
Indicates the directory of the file shown. The display here does
not change even if you change the directory to be shown.
To move to a higher level directory, select here and
then press the SELECT key twice quickly.
If you select compact/ (or usbmem/) and press the SELECT key twice
quickly, the data on the CF card (or USB memory) is displayed.
