Installation, Maintenance, Service & Part List Manual
The coolant tank holds approximately 55 litres of coolant.
See drawing 27557 at the rear of the manual for the coolant system.
2.4.11
Pneumatic System
The machine requires a supply of compressed air between 85-100 psi with a recommended supply size of
13mm I.D (minimum 10mm ID). Air pressure to pneumatic components, the ATC slide mechanism, and air
purge (internal spindle) can be controlled individually by means of the adjusting valves located at the back
of the 2 OP mill. See drawing 27563-2 at the end of the manual.
CAUTION!
Always Observe Low Air Pressure and Low Oil Level Warnings
2.4.12
Enclosure Doors
The front door has an electro-mechanical safety interlock that must be engaged when running a CNC
program. If the door is opened during a machining operation, the program will be shut down. This
includes the axis motors and spindle.
The enclosure is also equipped with left and right maintenance panels that are bolted in place.
WARNING!
Do not Attempt to Disable or Override the Safety Interlock.
2.4.13
Status Light
The machine has a green, call light attached to the top of the machine to give the user information about
the machine status.
a)
The light illuminates steady, when the machine is running a program.
b)
The green light flashes once per second when operator input is required, for example when a part
needs to be changed.
c)
The light flashes 3 times per second when a fault condition exists.
2.4.14
Swarf Removal
The swarf tray is located at the front of the mill. To remove, lift up on tray and pull forward.
2.4.15
Work Lamp
The 2 OP mill comes equipped with a work lamp, which is on continuously, whenever the machine is
powered.
2.4.16
Transformer
A power and control transformer is mounted on a slide out tray at the lower right hand side of the machine.
The transformer assembly includes a number of protective fuses. The transformer derives a number of
voltages from two of the 415V phases:
•
220V:
for servo amps and motors
•
115VAC:
for computer module, coolant pump, lube pump, worklight and cooling fans
•
24VAC:
for control relays
Warning
The input voltage to the machine must not exceed 440 volts (line to line). Voltages higher than this may
damage internal components and void your warranty
The transformer has a number of input taps to adjust for small variations in local supply voltage.
