The BS.412 meter shows how much gain change is being made by the loudness manager.
The BS.412 loudness manager should only be used in regions that require such a system.
If your governing body does not require the BS.412 loudness manager, turning it on will
reduce overall loudness in the long term.
Output Metering
The final three sets of meters on the right side show the
output levels of each of the outputs options. The first set
are the TX1 and TX2 outputs. These are relative and the
processor output should be set by observing a modulation
monitor. The next set is the L/R output level of the FM AES
output, followed by the L/R HD AES output.
GUI Adjustment Controls
Between the metering and the GUI controls lie a row of seven buttons. These buttons
open the menus to the various stages of processing for you to adjust. They also provide a
sort of signal flow chart for the processor. The menu options are
Input Setup, Equalizer,
AGC, HD Limiter, FM Limiter, MPX & Output, and System.
This section of the manual will explore the different menus, in order, a explain the
controls and options contained within each menu.
INPUT SETUP MENU
The X1 input menu contains all of the input source, level and conditioning filters for the
processor. Each menu section also contains a column to the far right that, at any time, allows
you to access the preset list and preset library, switch between the FM and HD metering
view as well as launch the analysis window or device manager. We will cover those options
later in this manual as this section pertains only to the controls that govern the input settings.
