Attack
Governs how quickly the lookahead limiter corrects for peaks. The timing
range is 0.2mS to 100mS.
To change the attack, tap the control. You will see a green ring indicating the
control is active and ready to be changed. Use the front panel knob to select the
type of attack. The processing effect will change in real time as you move the
knob. Once you have reached the desired setting, push in the knob to confirm
the new value.
Release
Governs how quickly the lookahead primary gain control recovers after
correcting audio. The timing range is 33mS to 300mS.
To change the release, tap the control. You will see a green ring indicating
the control is active and ready to be changed. Use the front panel knob to
select the type of release. The processing effect will change in real time as you
move the knob. Once you have reached the desired setting, push in the knob
to confirm the new value.
Delayed Release
Governs how quickly the lookahead secondary gain control recovers after
correcting audio. The timing range is 100mS to 1000mS.
The secondary delayed release control creates a slower platform for the
faster look-ahead limiter to release to. This prevents unwanted pumping or
grunge from more conventional designs where instantaneous peak control is
needed without clipping.
To change the release time, tap the control. You will see a green ring indicating
the control is active and ready to be changed. Use the front panel knob to select
the type of release. The processing effect will change in real time as you move the knob.
Once you have reached the desired setting, push in the knob to confirm the new value.
