How To View Preset Differences
It is possible to visually compare two dif-
ferent presets on the X1 with a special feature
called Preset Difference.
When the Library tab is opened, highlight
any preset you’d like to compare with the
current preset running on the processor. Then
right click and select View and Diff from the
sub-menu. You will see the window on the
right open.
Any parameter that is listed with a RED
background indicates a parameter that is dif-
ference between the preset running on the
hardware and the preset that has been high-
lighted. Parameters which are not highlighted
have the same values between the two presets.
Preset settings can also be printed or
exported as a .csv file which can be read by
Excel programs.
Hardware
The two hardware buttons are ANALYSIS and DEVICES.
Analysis
– shows the extra metering options for monitoring the left/
right domain signal as well as the MPX signal
Devices
– lets you configure the GUI to talk to a specific X1 over your
network or public internet.
Analysis
The X1 is equipped with extensive processing analysis features that give
a more detailed look at what the processing is actually doing. There are eight analysis
options. All eight are available in the FM or HD internal mode, while only four are
available in the MPX mode.
Analysis Source
Analysis Source selects the mode of analysis. You
can monitor the FM or HD processing, or choose the
MPX Internal or External sources. The MPX internal
mode allows you to use the tools available to monitor
the baseband of the X1’s signal, taken at the output of
the stereo generator. The MPX external mode looks at
the baseband injected into the SCA1 input (if that input
is selected for analysis)
