8. Stainless Steel Soundome Support
Both 6 and 8 inch FT soundomes have stainless
steel support fi ns welded to the soundome
tube. The fi ns provide support for the
soundome when in the down position. No
fi lling is necessary, however, the inside of
the seachest should be free of rust.
9. Zinc
Zincs are not supplied on FT models. After instal-
lation the soundome tube may be bonded
to the zinc system on the vessel.
10. Spider Assembly M8 Only
Does not apply to FT systems.
11. Assemble Hydraulic Hoist Unit to Seachest
All FT soundomes have a FWD stamped on the
side of the metal top plate of the soundome.
12. Junction Box Installation
Follow instructions in the manual.
13. FT Hydraulic Power Pack Installation
Locate the angle leg opposite the limit switches.
Half way up the leg are two holes side-by-
side. Use these holes to bolt the hydraulic
power pack mounting bracket.
14. Soundome Wiring
Follow instructions in manual.
Important: In addition to the numbered wires,
there is one wire—brown in color—la-
beled “GND”. Inside the soundome this
wire is connected to the top metal plate.
Inside the J-box, this brown wire is con-
nected to the ground post at the bottom
of the J-box.
15. Hoist System Wiring
Follow instructions in the manual.
Note: The hydraulic power pack is the same for DC
motors and AC motors. When connecting
ship’s power to the DC motors, the nega-
tive connection is different for 12V and
24V motors. Connect the negative wire of
the 12V bolt motors to the allen bolt on the
left side of the hydraulic pump. Connect
