INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
1.9 PPI MODE
When you select O, the sonar will sweep and display
targets within the sonar circle.
Selecting , the sonar will sweep and display targets all
the way to the corner of the display. In the direction
of the corners the range is 1.4 times greater then the
radius of the circle.
Note: For a given range, the scan speed is faster for the
O than the
. This accounts for the 1.4 range increase
to the corners.
Note: The fi shlupe to the right of screen has a dotted
horizontal range line across its display. Targets beyond
the range line are targets that are greater in range than
the circle display.
1.10 LANGUAGE
Select the language you wish for the Display and Menu
1.11 AUDIO MUTE
You can choose two types of audio outputs.
When you select YES, the sound of the transmitter fi ring
is suppressed and not heard over the speaker.
The transmit sound is good on longer ranges to give a
sense of target range. Select YES on short range, so the
transmit sound will not mask the sound of the targets.
1.12 SYNC
If you have two WESMAR sonars on board, both
HD800’s or one HD800 and one HD600E, with Sync
software the two can be synchronized together.
When YES is selected, both sonars will transmit at the
same time and will not interfere with each other. The
sonar with the longest range selected will be the master.
Selecting NO will disable the SYNC and each sonar
will operate on its own.
1.13 DOME OFFSET
It is possible to change the 0 degree heading as it ap-
pears on the screen.
