INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
16.5 This completes the wiring of the power booster,
when the HD800 console is off the power
booster is off. When the sonar console is on a
relay in the power will energize turning on the
power booster.
17.0 RESERVOIR
The vented plastic thumb screw on the reservoir of
the hydraulic pump has been replaced with a metal
allen screw. This is to keep the reservoir from leak-
ing when the hydraulic motor is removed from the
hoist system for shipment.
After installing the hoist
system, take out the allen screw on the reservoir of
the hydraulic pump.
Insert the plastic thumb screw provided by WESMAR.
This thumb screw is vented so the hydraulic reservoir can
breathe, which is necessary for proper operation.
18.0 PRE-OPERATION
HYDRAULIC
INSPECTION
To avoid permanent damage to your hoist hydraulics,
follow these steps to check that the system is installed
correctly:
18.1 Visually check the hydraulics for leaks.
18.2 Examine limit switch hookup to hoist board for
broken wires.
18.3 Check proper location of limit switches.
Make sure the switch arms are not bent, and are aligned
so they will switch when the top tube clamp approaches.
18.4 Be sure the packing gland is not too tight.
18.5 Confi rm allen screw on hydraulic pump reservoir
has been replaced with plastic thumb screw.
18.6 Check the soundome cable for free movement and
no chance of snagging when lowering or lifting the hoist.
18.7 Check the hydraulic lines for free movement when
lowering or lifting the hoist.
