soundome tube points forward for the 6-inch soundome,
or aft for the 8-inch soundome.
After positioning the soundome tube, tighten the top
hoist clamp and the safety clamp.
Verify the soundome is within the seachest 3.8 cm
(1.5 inches)
5.0 LEAD SCREW HOIST MOTOR
WIRING
Route the hoist motor wires through one of the small strain
reliefs in the bottom of the junction box. Connect the num-
bered lugs of the hoist motor to the same numbered terminals
on the hoist board in the junction box.
6.0 JUNCTION BOX INSTALLATION
1. The junction box contains the hoist control board
and the transmitter/receiver board. Select a convenient
location close to the hoist assembly that can be reached
by the soundome cable. Do not extend the length of the
soundome cable as it may introduce noise and shorten
range performance.
2. Do not install the junction box in the fi sh hold or
cold storage area.
7.0 CONNECTING POWER TO THE
HOIST CONTROL BOARD
The hoist control board is the same for 12 VDC or 24
VDC operation. Only the hoist motor must be ordered
for 12 VDC or 24 VDC operation. Connect power to
the Junction Box.
The power source for the hoist system need not
be the same as the power source for the console.
Use the wire chart on Page 35.
Route the hoist power cable through one of the small
strain reliefs in the bottom of the Junction Box.
For DC hoist, attach positive [+] lead to Terminal 30,
and negative [—] to Terminal 31.
Be sure of correct polarity.
The hoist control board is fused with a 15 amp
slow blow for both 12 VDC and 24 VDC operation.
