marks the bottom in Profi le and/or Sonar mode, Gains
are adjusted so hard bottom marks the clip color. All
softer bottoms will mark in lighter colors.
There are fi ve colors to select- MAROON, VIOLET,
BLACK, WHITE, and RED.
3.4 HIGHLIGHTS
To the right and left of the screen are colored windows
displaying the adjustments you have made to the sonar.
You can change the color of the windows according to
the ambient light. Beside the
BLUE, GREEN, and
ORANGE colors. There are two MIX combinations
that highlight adjustments for easy identifi cation.
3.5 “A” COLORS
SONAR A - Select 8 or 16 colors for target display.
WESMAR recommends 8 colors for schooling or dis-
persed fi sh off the bottom. Select 16 colors for ground
fi sh, shrimp, and bottom typing.
3.6 “A” DELETE
SONAR A - You are able to delete or add colors. By
deleting colors, you are raising the detection threshold.
By deleting colors, you are able to eliminate small targets
and/or clutter from the screen.
3.7 “A” THRESHOLDS
SONAR A - Thresholds can be adjusted up or down
depending on your fi shery. By lowering thresholds,
weak targets will appear on the screen without adjusting
gains. By raising thresholds, only strong targets will
appear on the screen.
WESMAR recommends a THRESHOLD TYPE 3 or
4 for schooling strong targets like sardines, anchovies,
and herring. THRESHOLD TYPE 2 for dispersed or
single targets. THRESHOLD TYPE 1 for ground fi sh
and bottom typing.
3.8 “B” COLORS
PROFILE B - Select 8 or 16 colors for target display.
