The Noise Filter is very effective. However, when scan-
ning for individual targets, WESMAR recommends
a selection of
NONE .
Noise Filter can be activated for Sonar A only, Profi le
B only, or BOTH.
1.4 TARGET FILTER
Target Filter is used to fi lter out unwanted returns and
reduce clutter from the screen. There are six settings:
Recommended settings are:
Off - Individual fi sh and fi sh close to the bottom.
1 - Dispersed fi sh and fi sh close to the bottom
2 - Small schools of fi sh.
3-4 - Large schools of fi sh.
5 - Bottom typing, only (recommend threshold
type 1 and 16 colors)
1.5 TARGET ENHANCE
To help in target recognition of individual or disperse
fi sh, select any number 1 through 10. Any fi sh target
that marks weak in color; blue, green or yellow, will be
enhanced and not diluted from non-fi sh targets.
Start with a low target enhance number such as 3. Se-
lect target fi lter to off or 1. Evaluate the target. If more
enhancement is needed, then increase the number.
Target enhancement can be turned off by selecting off.
1.6 CURSOR MODE
Cursor display can readout in Horizontal Range and
Depth of the target or Slant Range and Bearing.

1.7 MODULATION
Modulation
YES will display the fi shlupe to the right
of the screen.
Modulation
NO will turn off the fi shlupe.
1.8 RINGS
When you select
YES, Range Rings will appear on the
sonar screen. Selecting NO will remove the Range Rings.
