INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
(6 inches) below the bottom of the keel. See Page
55, #4.
The 8-inch soundome must extend 23 cm (9 inches)
below the bottom of the keel. See Page 55, #4.
Go beneath the boat and measure the length of
soundome boot extending below the keel.
If the soundome is not extended the proper
length, go back to the hoist.
Loosen the top hoist clamp and safety clamp.
Slide the tube up or down the necessary distance.
7.1.11 Turn off the console to check the raising of
the soundome.
Touch Terminal 27 with the blue wire labeled
27 (Top Limit Switch).
This will power the hoist motor and raise the
soundome. The hoist will rise to the "Up"
position and stop.
If the bottom of the soundome boot is 3.8 cm
(1.5 inches) above the base of the seachest,
the installation is complete.
PART D: RAM HOIST INSTALLA-
TION
The Ram Hoist is standard only with 8-inch soun-
domes. Part D applies only to the HD800/110-8 and
HD800/60-8.
Note:
The ram hoist is placed in the “Down” position when
shipped. Keep this in mind during the installation
procedure.

SOUNDOME TUBE LENGTH
To determine the minimum length of a soundome
tube,
measure the length of the seachest and add
59 cm (22 inches).
