actual size
The size of the page when it was scanned
(not enlarged using zoom in or reduced using
zoom out).
annotation
A word, a note, a mark, or highlighting added to
an item.
Annotation Tool Bar
A group of icons that represent the tools used to
add annotations to a page. The Annotation
Tool Bar is available only in the Page Viewer.
Arrow tool
An Annotation tool for drawing straight lines
with or without arrowheads.
bit depth
The number of bits used to process scanned
images. The greater the number of bits, the
more colors or levels of gray that can be used to
display the image.
calibrate
To adjust the scanner so that it produces the
cleanest possible image when you scan.
collapse
To reduce a note to an icon.
crop
To remove part of an image in the Page Viewer.
The portion of the image that is selected remains,
while the portion that is not selected is removed.
crosshair cursor
A cursor in the shape of a plus sign (+).
This cursor appears when you use certain
Annotation tools.
default
A setting preselected in the PaperPort software
by the manufacturer.
