46 Synchronising Information and Setting Up E-mail Security
Schedule synchronisation with Exchange Server
You can schedule information to be synchronised automatically
between your Lobster 700TV and Exchange Server, or schedule
synchronisation at regular time intervals. You can choose between
the following two methods based on your e-mail volume and cost-
effectiveness.
To receive e-mails and synchronise other information instantly
The
Direct Push
technology (Push E-Mail feature) enables you to
receive new e-mails on your Lobster 700TV as soon as they arrive
in your Inbox on Exchange Server. With this feature, items (such as
contacts, calendar, and tasks) are also immediately updated on your
Lobster 700TV as and when these are changed or appended on
Exchange Server. To make Direct Push work, you need to set up a
GPRS connection on your Lobster 700TV.
The Direct Push feature works for your Lobster 700TV if your private
network (corporate network) is using Microsoft Exchange Server
Service Pack 2 (SP2) with Exchange ActiveSync, and after your first
full synchronisation with Exchange Server.
