Fail-Safe Device

Power to the fail-safe device is routed from
system console. If you need to power the device
directly, you can use pins 7

terminal block located on the
fail-safe device (pin 3 is ground).
To daisy-chain system consoles, you will need one
Fail-Safe Device for every two consoles.
These devices provide a continuous chain of communication in case one system console loses power or
communications. The
is sold separately and includes two 8 ft (2.4 m) RJ-45 terminated
cables in its accessory kit.
Note: The
Intelligent Remote Control Panels include an internal fail-safe circuit. If you
use a
as the first device in a two-keypad daisy-chain, you will not need the
Fail-Safe Device. However, if the system console is the first device, then you will need
