Setting Baud Rates

To define baud rates:

Press and hold the Shift
key and then press the F5 key to display the Main Setup screen.

Then press the
soft key. The Select
Function screen will display. You must set the baud rate
for RS-485, RS-232 and
protocol if the default rates are not correct for your system. Select
each protocol in turn and press the Enter soft key to display the next screen.
Use the arrow keys to change selection
followed by the ENTER key or press EXIT
to return to the previous screen.

For W-485 and W-422, the next screen will allow you to choose the baud rate, as shown in the
example below. Use the up/down arrow soft keys to select Disabled, 2400 BPS (RS-485 only), 4800
BPS, 9600 BPS or 19200 BPS and then press the Enter soft key.
Note: All keypads in your system must have the same baud rate. You may not set different baud rates for
the keypads in your system. Keypad baud rates must be set whether or not the keypad is present in
the system.
