Setting Keypad Addresses
Note: Only managers may access these settings.
To set keypad addresses:
Press and hold the Shift
key and then press the F5 key to display the Main Setup screen.

Then press the Keypad soft key. The Select Keypad Function screen will display.
Use the arrow keys to change selection
followed by the ENTER key or press EXIT
to return to the previous screen.

Your system console may be connected either directly to a control system or to the
Multi-System Selector using RS-422 protocol. Your system console may also be part of an W-485
network. Each keypad/system console in your system must have a unique address on the
network and on the RS-422 network. For example, you may use address “3” on both the RS-485 and
RS-422 networks, but you may not use “3” for two devices connected together on the RS-485 or for
two devices connected together on the RS-422 network. Press Enter on the Set Keypad Address line.

Use the up/down arrow to choose a network. If you have keypads on both networks you must perform
these steps twice in order to choose each network and define the addresses. Press Enter.

Choose a unique number for the system console address. To set the address, enter the number and
then press the Enter soft key. In the example screen below, the user chose the RS-422 Network
selection in the screen above, entered “1”.
