Multipicture Display
and
multiplexers may display video from up to 16 cameras. Which video will display in which
window is defined during
programming. There are nine formats: picture-in-picture, quad,
3x3, 4x4, mixed border, mixed half, mixed split, full screen and user display. The full screen display format has
only one camera (one window).
To select multipicture display:
1 .
Enter “1” and press the Monitor key to select the multipicture display monitor.
2 .
Press the Format key.
3 .
Press the soft key corresponding to the screen display format that you wish to select: picture-in-picture,
quad, 3x3, 4x4, mixed border, mixed half, mixed split, or user defined. The cameras that will display in the
selected screen display format depends upon the
system programming.
Freeze and Restore
To freeze video in full screen display, press the Freeze soft key. To restore video in full screen display, press
the Restore soft key.
To freeze video in a multipicture display mode:
1. Press the Format key.

Press the screen display format soft key.
3 .
(Skip this step to freeze all windows.) Enter the number of the window in the display format that you wish
to freeze.

Then press the Freeze soft key.
To restore video in multipicture display mode:
1 .
2 .
3 .
Press the screen format display soft key.
(Skip this step to restore all windows.) Enter the number of the window in the display format that you wish
to restore.
Press the Restore soft key to restore all images.
Recording Video
Note: This section is only relevant for simplex models. Duplex models record continuously.
To record video:
1 .
Press the Mode soft key. The Mode key and the Format key share a label. Press the Shift
key to
toggle to the Mode label if necessary.
2 .
The Mode Select menu will display on the multipicture display monitor.
3 .
Use the joystick or press the “3” key to select “Encode
Press the Enter soft key.
