Defining Auxiliary Devices
Two auxiliary devices may be connected to the system console (these are referred to as “local” devices).
Installation is covered on page 4 for standalone systems, page 6 for AURORA/VCR ONLY systems, page

for
NOVA/AURORA/VCR
systems and page 10 for
systems. Other auxiliary
devices are available through the control system and receivers, as discussed in the appropriate manuals.
Both local and control system auxiliary devices may be activated and deactivated from the system
console, as discussed on page 34.
Press and hold the Shift
key and then press F5 to access the Main Setup screen.

Then press the Keypad soft key to display the Select Keypad Function screen.

Select F6 F8 Control to display the Function Key Control screen as shown in the example below.

Use the arrow keys to change selection
followed by the ENTER key to toggle
the current setting. Press EXIT to store
and return to the previous screen.

The F6 key can be used to activate aux device 1 and F8 can be used for aux device 2. (Both keys
require that the Shift key be pressed and held until the function key is pressed.) Use the arrow keys to
move to each line on the screen and press Enter to toggle the settings. Each device may be set to
momentary or latching operation.

Press Exit when finished.

You may define that auxiliary devices automatically activate for an active alarm at the NOVA control
system or receivers as discussed on page 31.
