Diagnostics
System console diagnostics allow a manager to test all of the keys on
and the
devices, as well as the pan and tilt functions.
1. To test communication on the Control Out, RS-422
and
ports, use
short jumper wires to make the following connections with the power disconnected from your system
console. Otherwise, skip to step 5 but choose Disabled.
Note: Pin
orientation is:
into the connector on the rear of the system console.

Re-enter the system console by entering your user ID (and passcode, if necessary)

Press and hold the Shift
key and then press the F5 key to enter the Main Setup screen.

Press the System soft key and then use the up/down arrow soft keys to select Mode Selection. From the
next screen, select Diagnostics.

To start the test, use the up/down arrow soft keys to select Enabled.
Use the arrow keys to change selection
followed by the ENTER key or press EXIT
to return to the previous screen.
