Defining the ID
Note: Only managers may access these settings.
I
There are two types of operators for the system console, managers and users. Both require a user ID.
You may also define passcodes, but this is not required. A manager can access all six topics from the
Main Setup screen. You will typically limit the number of managers in a system. The number “0” is the
user ID for managers. Standard users (those without the manager
for user ID “0”) will only be
able to access limited
of the Keypad and Joystick topics from the Main Setup screen. Note that
the full functionality of the Keypad and Joystick menus will only be accessible to managers.
Press and hold the Shift
key and then press the
key to display the Main Setup screen.

Press the Keypad soft key. The Select Keypad Function screen will display.

Use the up/down arrow soft key to select Set Passcodes from the Select Keypad Function screen.
The following screen will display. Enter a number between 0 and 64 and press the Enter soft key.
Enter a value between 0 and 64 for
User ID followed by ENTER or press EXIT
to cancel and terminate.
NOTE: USER ID 0 is the SYSTEM MANAGER.
