Defining VCR Systems
Note: AURORA/VCR ONLY,
and NOVA/AURORA/VCR systems may include
VCRs. VCRs are not part of standalone systems.
When using the
Multi-Output Interface Unit, you may include VCRs and
(or
multiplexers in your system (does not apply to standalone systems). The MIU address for each VCR must be
defined in the VCR System Configuration screen.

To access the VCR System Configuration screen, press and hold the Shift
key and then press the F5
key to display the Main Setup screen.

Then press the System soft key. The Select System Category screen will display.
Choose VCR Configuration to display the VCR System Configuration screen.
Scroll through the four pages of the VCR System Configuration using the up and down arrow keys at the
right of the screen,

The default
addresses are 16 through 23 for VCRs through 8, respectively. These defaults
mirror the
DIP switch settings discussed in
Remote Keyboard and Optional
Multi-Output Interface
Manual
X939. You may edit these addresses as long as the addresses
at the MIU and at the system console are consistent and each VCR has a unique address. If the
settings are incorrect, select the No soft key at the bottom of the screen.
Then enter the VCR unit number and press Enter. You will then be prompted to enter the correct MIU
address or select the Not Used soft key.

Press Enter and continue to edit until all addresses are correct for your system. If you have more than 8
VCRs, use the up and down soft keys at the right to page up and down.

Press the Yes soft key when your settings are correct to return to the Select System Category screen.
