Viewing the Current Status
The Main Setup screen is used to access programming screens and to view the current status. Press and
hold the Shift
key and then press F5 to access the screen. The current device, keypad settings, mode
and other settings are shown at the top of the screen.
To exit, press and hold the Shift
and then press the
key to exit to the
or VI400 Series
Control screen. You may also exit the System Category screen and enter another screen by using Shift
and the appropriate function key.

Disabling the Joystick
Perform the following procedure if you will not use a

Press and hold the Shift
key and then press the F5 key to display the Main Setup screen.

Then press the Joystick soft key. The Joystick Adjustment screen will display.
3. Select Disable Joystick.
Adjusting the Joystick
Perform the following procedure for joystick adjustment.
1 .
Press and hold the Shift
key and then press the F5 key to display the Main Setup screen.
2 .
Then press the Joystick soft key. The Joystick Adjustment screen will display.

Press the Adjust Box soft key to adjust the dead (null) zone of the joystick. When you are moving the
joystick within the area of the dead zone, the joystick will not send pan and tilt commands.

Press and hold the appropriate soft key (set left, for example) and move the joystick up, down, left or
right to define the dead zone limits. Release the soft key to set the position.
5.
Use the Set Center soft key to define the center position of the joystick (try setting a new center if the
joystick operation does not provide the required sensitivity).
6 .
Press the Adjust Range soft key to customize the right, left, up, down limits to your joystick.
7 .
Move the joystick all the way to the right and press the Set Right soft key. Release the soft key to set
the limit. Repeat for up, down and left.
The joystick speed may be set to very low, low, medium or high, as referenced on page
52.
You may reset the joystick’s sensitivity settings to the factory defaults using the Set Defaults soft key.
