Requirements
Installing as a LOCAL ADMINISTRATOR in Windows
Important:
You must install ViewPoint and other Wave workstation applications as a LOCAL
ADMINSTRATOR in Windows to ensure that the application is installed with the proper
permissions and credentials. Do not install as a LOCAL USER with Administrator rights or as
a Domain Administrator, via Active Directory, or via a silent installation (as described
Appendix D, ”Performing Unattended Workstation Installations”) as anything other than
LOCAL ADMINISTRATOR.
This requirement also applies when you install a third-party application, for example Goldmine
or anther customer relationship management (CRM) product.
Where to install the Wave workstation applications
You can install the Wave workstation applications on any Windows PC on the network that
meets the requirements in this section. Do not attempt to install a Wave workstation application
on the Wave Server itself—the Wave Server is a dedicated telephony server.
Terminal server support
You can install the workstation applications on a terminal server running Citrix MetaFrame or
Windows Terminal Services. For instructions, see Appendix A.
Installing ViewPoint on the Wave Server for administrative purposes
Important: You can install ViewPoint on the Wave Server for administrative purposes
only. All end user copies of ViewPoint must be installed on other PCs in your network.
