Wave Server Installation Guide
To add Wave ISM to your PDC domain:
1.
In the Global Administrator Management Console, click
Network Connections
, located
in the Data Administration section.

The Network Connections applet launches the Microsoft Windows Network Connections
application in a remote control window that allows the application running on the Wave
ISM to appear on the administrator PC. (For more information, see “Remote Access
Application applets” in Chapter 25 in the
Wave Global Administrator Guide
.)
Click
Yes
if you are asked if you trust the computer to which you are connecting.
3.
Select
Start > Control Panel > System
.
4.
In the System Properties dialog, click the Computer Name tab and then click
Change
.
5.
In the Computer Name Changes dialog, under
Member of
, select the
Domain
radio button.
Enter the PDC domain name and then click
OK
.
6.
At the login prompt, enter the
User name
and
Password
of a user on the PDC who has
privileges to add workstations to the PDC, and then click
OK
. Click
OK
again to clear the
message that appears.
7.
Follow the prompts to close the System Properties dialog. When a message appears
asking if you want to restart Wave ISM, click
No
.
8.
Click
Start > All Programs > Wave > Utils > CreatePkg
to run the Create Packages Wave
ISM utility.
9.
Click
Yes
in the Confirmation Required dialog.
10.
Click
OK
to close the message indicating that the Create Packages utility has completed
successfully.
11.
Click
Start > Administrative Tools > Computer Management
, and then choose
Local
Users and Groups
.
12.
Add the VNI-Enterprise, VNI-System, and VNI-Users groups to the Administrators
group.
13.
Restart the Wave ISM according to the instructions on page 7-12.
Now, whenever you log on to the Wave ISM, enter the PDC domain name followed by a
backslash (\), then enter your PDC domain user name and password, for example:
User name: Domain\Username
Password: Password
When logging on to the Wave ISM using Windows Remote Desktop, use your PDC domain user
name and password for the Windows login prompt.
