From RJ45 port (J2 on CPU board) Pin 1 is the Negative “A” comm. line and Pin 2 is the
Positive “B” comm. line. Pin 8 is the Ground reference. See Figure 2 below for RJ45 pin numbering.

The 120 ohm load resistor for the Modbus network is built into the transceiver chip and can be
toggled by going into Setup Menu > ”Config” Menu > “Comm. Load Resistors” and Enabling “Modbus
RTU”.
