Press and hold the knob until you hear the “Beep” to make the selection
permanent.
Again, you will not see this menu unless you have selected either
CV or YC as an output format.
13.7 Image Smoothing
Adjust Scaler Parameters
Image smoothing [High]
Image smoothing reduces the jagged-edges sometimes seen within an output
image by softening them. It typically greatly improves the quality of an scaled
image. There are four possible settings for this adjustment: “Off”, “Auto”, “Med.”
and “High”. The “Auto” setting is generally thought to be most desirable. To make
a change in the amount of Image Smoothing, press the Menu Select knob while
on the LCD screen illustrated above. This will cause the brackets to begin
flashing and you may then rotate the Menu Select knob Clockwise and Counter-
clockwise until the desired choice appears. Press the knob once again to store
the new choice in temporary memory or press and hold the knob until you hear
the “Beep” to make the change permanent.
13.8 Image Flip

Image flip [ Off]
Occasionally, it’s necessary to cause the output image to be flipped Vertically,
Horizontally or both. This adjustment allows you to make that change to the
output’s appearance. While on the screen shown above, press the Menu Select
knob. The brackets will begin to flash and you can choose from “Off”, “Horiz.”,
“Vertical” or ”H & V”. Make your selection and press the Menu Select knob to
record your change in temporary memory. If you want to make the change
permanent, press and hold the Menu Select knob until you hear the “Beep”.
