Default: OFF

ON
Monitor outgoing packets in the same manner as received packets.
OFF
Don’t monitor outgoing packets.
With
MXMIT
ON
, outgoing packets are monitored in the same manner as received packets. The monitoring of
outgoing packets is subject to the settings of
MONITOR
,
MCON
,
MFROM
,
MTO
,
MRPT
and
TRACE
. Most
transmitted packets occur when you’re connected to someone, so
MCON
should probably be set to a non-zero
value.
MYAlias
call
[-

]
Default: none
Mode: packet
Host: MA
call
Alternate packet digipeater identity of your DSP
“
n
”
0 to 15, an optional SubStation ID (SSID)
MYALIAS
specifies an alternate callsign (in addition to the callsign specified in
MYCALL
) for those households
with two operators taking turns using the DSP—your TNC will accept connections to both your
MYCALL
and
MYALIAS
. Previously,
MYALIAS
had been reserved for stations digipeating through your station, only.
If
MYMAIL
isn’t set, the Maildrop also accepts connections to either
MYCALL
or
MYALIAS
.
Outgoing connect attempts and Unproto frames use only
MYCALL
as the source callsign.
MYcall
call

Default: DSP232
Mode: packet and PACTOR Maildrop
Host: ML
call
Your
callsign
“
n
”
0-15, indicating an optional SubStation ID, (SSID)
Use the
MYCALL
command to load your callsign into your DSP. The
DSP232
default callsign is present in your
DSPs ROM when the system is manufactured. This “artificial call”
must be changed
for packet operation.
The SSID is usually added so the DSP can respond to two different tasks—as a “base” station and digipeater, a
digipeater and Maildrop, or a base station and Maildrop. An example of using the SSID suffix is given in
Chapter
5: Packet Operation
.
Two or more stations can’t use the same call and SSID on the air at the same time. Use a different SSID this is the
case.
MYCALL
must be entered for you to use the PACTOR Maildrop; the callsign is used for message routing and
identification.
MYGate call
[-

Default: none
Mode: packet
Host: MY
call
Node callsign used by other stations.
