DE4 kit package is to increase the height of the HSMC connector to avoid any obstruction that

might take place as a HSMC daughter card is connected. The THCB-HMF2 adapter card can be

connected to either ports, A or B of the HSMC connector shown in

Figure 2–13

JTAG Chain on HSMC

The JTAG chain on the HSMC can be activated through the 3-position DIP switch (SW8). If there is

no connection established on the HSMC connectors, the 3-position DIP switch (SW8) are to set
‘On’, where the JTAG signals on the HSMC connectors are bypassed illustrated in

Figure 2–14
