ULTRAFLOW 150 GAS FLOW AND TEMPERATURE MONITOR
CAL CYCLE
Initiated by:
Digital Inputs,
Enhanced
Remote Panel,
Local User
Interface, or
System Clock
Initiates an internally timed calibration cycle consisting of the
three CALIBRATION modes and their supporting ACQUIRE
modes. The order is ZERO-ACQUIRE, ZERO, SPANLOW-
ACQUIRE, SPANLOW, SPANHIGH-ACQUIRE and
SPANHIGH. The combined length of each ACQUIRE/CAL
mode is set by the number of periods for ZERO, SPANLOW,
and SPANHIGH variables. If periods for ZERO are 10 and
periods for AVERAGE are 6, the ZERO ACQUIRE mode will
last for 6 integration periods and ZERO will last for 4 integration
periods. To defeat any of the CAL modes set the number of
periods for that mode equal to zero. See timing diagram.
The MIO mode follows the TIE mode. It
changes modes when it sees that the TIE
has been in the new mode for one full
period. The MIO mode will be one
integration period behind the TIE
throughout the entire CAL CYCLE. The
analog outputs will be updated at the end
of each integration period. The relays will
be updated at each MIO mode change.
See timing diagram.
TEST ZERO
SCALE
Initiated by:
Digital Inputs or
Enhanced Remote
Panel
The TIE ignores this mode
request. The TIE will remain in
whatever mode it was in.
This is
an MIO test only.
The MIO enters this mode on receipt of the request. This mode will drive
all analog outputs regardless of configuration to their ZERO scale. If
actuated the NORMAL relay will drop out to indicate that other than
NORMAL data is present on the outputs. The MIO will stay in this mode
until another mode request is issued.
TEST MID
SCALE
Initiated by:
Digital Inputs or
Enhanced
Remote Panel
The TIE ignores this mode
request. It will remain in
whatever mode it was in.
This is
an MIO test only.
The MIO enters this mode on receipt of the request. This mode will drive
all analog outputs regardless of configuration to their MID scale. If
actuated the NORMAL relay will drop out to indicate that other than
NORMAL data is present on the outputs. The MIO will stay in this mode
until another mode request is issued.
TEST FULL
SCALE
Initiated by:
Digital Inputs or
Enhanced
Remote Panel
The TIE ignores this mode
request. It will remain in
whatever mode it was in.
This is
an MIO test only.
The MIO enters this mode on receipt of the request. This mode will drive
all analog outputs regardless of configuration to their FULL scale. If
actuated the NORMAL relay will drop out to indicate that other than
NORMAL data is present on the outputs. The MIO will stay in this mode
until another mode request is issued.
Note: ACQUIRE modes are transitional modes designed to signal that the data from the monitor
is in transition from one mode to another. For instance, ZERO ACQUIRE indicates that
the monitor is producing data that is a mixture of ZERO and the previous mode.
ACQUIRE modes last for the averaging period. This time can be determined by the
following formula:
AVERAGING PERIOD = Integration Periods in Average * Integration Period
6.4.7 Output Module Configuration Menu
This sub-menu is password protected. It contains three screens for
configuring the analog and digital outputs of the Multi I/O Board. The
screens titled “ANALOG OUTPUTS 1,2” and “ANALOG OUTPUTS
3,4” configure their respective analog output parameter mapping and
scaling. The “RELAY ASSIGNMENT” screen configures the conditions
for closure of the eight output relays. Use the arrow keys to select
OUTPUT MODULE CONFIG then press “
↵
”
. This will prompt you to
choose one of the three screens. Make your selection with the arrow keys
and press enter.
