5.5 Brake system
Tandem chassis
The release valve (1) is used for actuating and
releasing the service brake system.
The release valve (1) can only be actuated in
uncoupled condition. The following switch
positions are possible:
•
Push in as far as it will go and the service
brake system releases, e.g. for
manoeuvring the unhitched machine
•
Pull out as far as it will go and the machine
is braked again by means of the system
pressure coming from the compressed-air
reservoir

Tridem chassis
The double release valve (1) is used for actuating
and releasing the service brake system and for
actuating the spring-loaded brake system with
the machine unhitched.

machine is braked again by means
of the system pressure coming from
the compressed-air reservoir

accumulator being, however, only bled (braked) when the two-way valve in the system
