1-46 Swept Sine Measurement
SR785 Dynamic Signal Analyzer
Press [Auto Scale B]
Scale the display. On both sides of the notch, you
can see Auto Level keeping the Ch2 signal level at
10 mV (-40 dBV). The reference tolerance is 3 dB
and is set by the Ref Limits. As the sweep moves
into the notch, the source level reaches the Max
Source level of 1 V and the Ch2 signal drops to
-60 dBV. The spectrum of Ch1 measures the actual
source level at each point and the Frequency
Response is still calculated correctly.
12. Press [Active Display]
Switch back to DisplayA (Frequency Response).
This concludes this measurement example. You
should have a basic understanding of Swept Sine
measurements. The Input Range, Resolution and
Source Level optimizations greatly extend the
dynamic range of the measurement while
minimizing the measurement times.
