Replace the front and rear lids (see “Front lid
replacement” on page 83 ).

Install the rebuilt unit in its rack.

Power on the server (see “How to power on the
system” on page 45 ).
Checks after replacement
After replacement, test the unit on the bench. Use the BIOS
setup utility to check the BIOS settings (see
“Motherboard
BIOS manager” on page 50 ).
Use the Pc-Check utility to confirm the correct operation
and installation of the new hardware (see
“Pc-Check” on
page 60 ).
When the hardware is proved to work, use the
Administration web pages to set the configuration the
server (see
“HDXchange administration web pages” on
page 51 ).
Power supply cage replacement
Cage removal

Power off the unit (see “How to power off the server”
on page 45 ) and remove the front and rear lids (see
“Front lid removal” on page 83 ) to access the parts.

Remove Flat Head M4 10 mm screws from sides of
chassis.

Remove crossbar sections (PSU holder).

Remove PSU retaining arm.

Remove 3 x power modules from the PSU cage.

Unplug all relevant power cables coming from the
PSU cage to the motherboard.

Remove the 2 round head screws from the Power
Supply holder metal strip, which runs across the top of
the chassis.

Remove single round head screw from inside the
chassis securing the cage to the chassis.

Remove 4 round head screws from the rear of the
chassis. The PSU will then slide toward the front of the
chassis and can be removed.
Cage installation
Installation is, generally, the reverse of removal. However,
the power supply wires provided with the replacement
PSU cage should be secured to the cage to avoid obscuring
and interfering with Motherboard components.
