Rear lid
Removing the rear lid provides access to the rear
compartment of the chassis, houses the Motherboard,
processing ancillary boards.
Rear lid removal
This equipment contains electrostatic sensitive devices.
Only qualified persons familiar with appropriate ESD
handling precautions and procedures should remove
the covers or the hard disk drives (HDDs). Failure to
observe these procedures may result in damage to this
equipment.
Take car not to touch, or to let objects fall into, the
rotating CPU fans located on the Motherboard.

With a flat blade screwdriver, remove the two flat-
head #6-32x5 mm screws that secure the lid to the
chassis.

Slide the lid backward and grasp the cover at both
ends.

Remove the rear lid and put it aside and away from the
immediate working area.
Rear lid replacement

Ensure that no tools or parts are left inside the unit and
that all cables are routed so that they will not be
trapped or damaged by the lids.

Replace the rear lid, sliding it forward into position
and secure with the two screws previously removed,
using a torque of 10-11 kgf-cm.
Front lid
Removing the front lid provides access to the front
compartment of the chassis, housing Media RAID, OS
RAID and DVD drive.
Front lid removal
This equipment contains electrostatic sensitive devices.
Only qualified persons familiar with appropriate ESD
handling precautions and procedures should remove
the covers or the hard disk drives (HDDs). Failure to
observe these procedures may result in damage to this
equipment.

It is advisable to remove the rear lid (see
) first in order to be able to lift the
front lid.

#6-32x5 mm screws that secure the lid to the chassis.

Lift the lid upward and grasp the cover at both ends.

Remove the front lid and put it aside and away from
the immediate working area.
