Removing the covers
Front bezel
The front bezel protects the controls, indicators and RAID
HDDs on the front panel of the server unit. To gain access
to these items the bezel must be removed using the
procedure below.
It is recommended that the bezel is fitted to the unit during
normal operation in order to protect the HDDs and other
internal circuitry from dust and dirt. This will prolong the
life of your equipment and protect the unit from
overheating.
Front bezel removal

With a finger, press the release buttons located at
either end of the bezel, integral to the grab handles.

Pull the bezel forward by the grab handles to remove it
from the front of the server unit.
Front bezel replacement

Place the bezel in position on the front panel of the
server unit.

Push the bezel backward onto the unit a click is heard
as the release buttons re-engage with the chassis.

Check the bezel is securely attached by attempting to
pull forward by the grab handles without pressing the
release buttons.
Checks after replacement
After replacement, ensure that the front panel LEDs are
displayed through the light pipes and are visible from with
the bezel in place.
