Pc-Check
Introduction
The Pc-Check utility is a utility produced by Eurosoft,
used to monitor the status of the server hardware and
monitor internal communications.
Instructions are described in this section for:
• continuous burn-in test
• advanced diagnostics tests
For further details, see the manual supplied with the utility.
Obtaining the utility
The Pc-Check utility may be obtained from Eurosoft-UK
Ltd.
Continuous burn-in test
Pc-Check provides a configurable ‘burn-in’ test that
enables you to choose the tests to perform on your server.
• A complete continuous burn-in test may take up to 2
days to complete. To perform a quicker test for specific
problems, perform an advanced diagnostic test (see
“Advanced diagnostic tests” on page 62
The following continuous burn-in test procedure is
recommended for checking the operation of:
• processor
• memory modules
• cache memory
• video memory
• motherboard (including controllers, timers and PCI bus)
• hard drives
• serial ports

Boot to the Pc-Check CD.

From the MAIN MENU , highlight the Immediate
Burn-in Testing option using the arrow keys, then
press the <ENTER> key to select.

From the BURN IN MENU , highlight the Change
Options option using the arrow keys, then press the
<ENTER> key to select.

From the PASS CONTROL MENU , highlight the
Individual Passes option using the arrow keys, then
press the <ENTER> key to select.
