HDXchange administration web pages
Introduction
The Administration web page utility enables the setting up
of user accounts and other management tasks on the
HDXchange system.
It also provide a Diagnostics page that enables routine
checking of the server data and system RAIDs, as well as
enabling the creation of diagnostic logs and quota
checking.
The 3ware disk Manager utility (see “3ware disk
manager” on page 55 ) is automatically invoked from the
Administration web page utility when Data RAID is
selected on the System > Diagnostics web page.
Instructions are described in this section for:
• checking OS RAID status
• recovery from a failed OS disk drive

Accessing the utility
This application is pre-installed on the server and may be
viewed using a web browser.
If using Microsoft Internet Explorer, a rescan failure may
occur. In such case, please reload/refresh the page by
clicking
F5 . We recommend using the Mozilla Firefox
browser to avoid rescan failures when checking 3ware.
Firefox may be downloaded from the internet as freeware.
Administrator login
Login to the utility as a user using:
URL: http://hdxchangeserver/
User: admin
Password: hxXXXXXX
(Where XXXXXX is the software serial number
printed on a sticker at the rear of the server unit)
Checking OS RAID status
During operation of the server, the Administration web
pages may be accessed from a remote client, or other
networked machine, through a web browser application.
To check RAID status:

Login to the Administration web pages.

From the main Administration page, click the
[System] icon at the top of the screen to display the
system page, showing the version and serial numbers.

From the System page, click the [Diagnostics] icon to
display the Diagnostics page, showing various
diagnostic options.
