3.1. Softer cushions and cushions’s rubber covers.
The bark of young almond trees is softer than bark of adult trees. It is even
softer if they are irrigated.
To take it into account, we propose a set of softer cushions y cushions’
rubber cover to avoid damaging the bark . If your whole plantation is made up of
young trees, you can order the harvester to have it mounted with these softer pieces.
If you have a mix of young and adult trees, you will have to buy them
separately, in order to mount them when youm will harvest young trees. You cannot
use the softer set on adult trees because you will wear them very quickly.
3.2. Piece to reduce the opening width of vibrating head.
This option is important to protect the head when you work on young with very
small diametre.
It is a spacing piece that is mounted between the structure of the head and the
cushion to reduce the opening width of the vibrating head.
The smaller is the diametre of the trunk, the more you will have to close the
cylinder that close and tighten the head around the trunk. What must be avoided is
that the piston rod remains too close to the back of the barrel (see under photo).
