30. IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS.
Like for any other mechanical machine, you will have to follow a series of rules
if you want to use it properly, in order to avoid doing bad manoeuvres that could
damage seriously your trees and/or your machine or impede to harvest properly.
Thus, we recommend you to follow the under-mentioned rules:
a) Before to start up the machine, check that entry and exit valves of oil are open.
b) Avoid doing any abrupt movement during the manoeuvres of approximation to the
tree to protect it from being damaged.
c) Before to start any manoeuvre, you must have learnt perfectly how work all the
control devices and mechanisms to avoid any unintended operation that could
damage trees or the harvester.
d) As long as the field makes it possible, let the harvester rest on the ground to
avoid any useless effort.
e) Check regularly that nothing impedes the movement of those parts of your
machine taht fold/unfold. Should you have to remove an object from such a
mechanism, the machine has to be totally stopped to prevent risks of accidents.
f) When you have to unassemble some parts of the machine, check that the area
around them is clean, and that the ends/extremities of the elements that you have
separated are well protected against dust and humidity so as to prevent any
unwanted particles to get into the circuits and connections, which could cause
failures and breakdowns.
g) When you have to move and transport the machine, the umbrella must be closed.
If you have to move about more than 3 km, we strongly recommend you to tie the
canvas with some elastic rope to protect the axles of the cylinders of the racks
systems that close the umbrella from jerks.
h) Before to start vibrating a tree, make sure that the shaking head strongly holds
the trunk, otherwise the bark of the tree could be damaged.
