15. RUBBER PARTS.
15.1. Rubber "trunk-closing" piece.
Rubber “trunk-closing” pieces (A) and (B) are aimed at closing the open space
around the “mouth” of the harvesting box by adapting themselves around the trunk
to, thus preventing fruits from falling on the ground. When the umbrella is closed,
rubber “trunk-closing” pieces are held up by and elastic and taut piece of string
() on
each side, so that you can easily drive in and out the “mouth” of the harvesting box to
and from the trunk.
ATTENTION:
it is not advisable to let the harvester move backwards if
the umbrella is still open, because you would damage not only the
rubber “trunk-closing” pieces, but also the driving arms of the umbrella
and the hydraulic cylinder of the rack-system to close the umbrella ,
which is worse.
