To regulate, you will use the
knob (B) and counter-nut (C) . First,
loosen counter-nut (C) : turn it anti-clock
wise. Then, use the knob (B) . If you
turn it clockwise (tightening), you will
reduce the speed of rotation; if you turn
it anti-clockwise (loosening), you will
increase the speed of rotation. Once
you have regulated the working speed
of the peeler, tighten the counter-nut
(C) .
Optimal working speed of peelers is a balance between 1) peeling almonds well 2)
without damaging them and 3) at a good working rythm.
It is not advisable to work beyond this speed because all you will achieve
is to wear prematurely the rubber “star” pieces and, possibly, to damage
the fruits.
