3. OPTIONS FOR YOUNG TREES
Working with young almond trees is different from working with normal ones.
To take them into account, we have designed a set of options with three major goals:
§
To give a better protection to young trees adapting the vibrating to their needs.
§
To give a better protection to the vibrating head because working on trees with
small diametre may result harmful.
§
To work better and more efficiently.
These options are:
3.1. Softer cushions and cushions’s rubber covers.
3.2. Piece to reduce the opening width of vibrating head.
3.3. Piece to guide to trunk.
3.4. Set of additional bulks (set 1-2, set 2-3).
3.5. Kit to regulate the tightening pressure of the head
Please, never forget that a harvester is not the kind of machine you can
regulate and calibrate once and for all. Usually, trees are not homogeneous and you
must take into account that:
§
In a same plantation, some trees may need a different regulation of the
harvester (because they are older or younger, because they do not grow in the
same conditions, etc).
§
Weather conditions (rain/dryness, sun hours, etc.) may reqire that you modify
some settings of your harvester from one year to another.
