E) Cardan shaft connection (rear part).
Once you have hitched the harvester (as explained in previous points), you will
have to connect the cardan shaft to the tractor’s PTO shaft on one side, and to the
shaft of the hydraulic central’s mutliplying gearbox on the other side. To do so, follow
the under-explained steps:
Before to handle the PTO shaft, you must immobilize and stop the
tractor, fasten its parking-brake and remove the contact keys
from the dashboard.
Before to connect the PTO shaft, read carefully the manual of
instructions that is supplied together with the PTO shaft.
If you cannot find it, ask for it to your dealer.
To connect the PTO shaft, first clean and grease the two shafts
(one on the tractor, one on the harvester).
Put the female spline connection in front of the shaft of the PTO
spline and push the button (or turn the disc, depending on the
model) and push it totally.
Then come back a little until yor hear a

. Make sure that the
button (or the disc) has come back to its original position (blocked
position). Make sure that the connection is fixed.
